X-rays:

An important tool to help us diagnose diseases in animals, particularly for conditions involving bones, the chest or abdomen.

Ultrasounds:

Important in diagnosing diseases in animals, particularly for conditions involving soft tissues, such as those found in the abdomen or the heart.

Commonly used for:

  • Chronic Kidney Disease
  • Possible tumours or cancers in the abdomen
  • To look for internal fluid or bleeding in the abdomen or thorax
  • To search for possible blockages
  • To assess the state of vital internal organs such as the intestines, spleen, pancreas, liver and kidneys
  • To assess bladder health or crystals in the bladder
  • Pregnancy diagnosis and foetal heart rates

Clinical pathology:

Is the laboratory evaluation of blood, bodily fluids or body tissues to identify disease.
