Our two-stage approach

We perform dental procedures in two stages: dental staging first, followed by extractions only if they're needed. Splitting the process this way means your pet spends less time under anaesthetic overall, which is better for their safety and their recovery.

Dental staging includes pre-anaesthetic blood testing, a general anaesthetic with intravenous fluids, a comprehensive oral exam, a gum health review, full-mouth dental x-rays to check the tooth roots, and a full descale and polish.

Signs your pet might need a dental check

Yellow-brown tartar along the gum line
Red, inflamed gums
Bad breath
Changes in eating or chewing habits, especially in cats
Pawing at the face or mouth
Excessive drooling
Pain or bleeding around the gums or mouth

Looking after teeth at home

Brush daily with a pet-specific toothbrush and toothpaste (never human toothpaste - it isn't designed to be swallowed and can be toxic)
Offer dental chews and toys designed to help reduce tartar
Consider a dental-specific diet, where the mechanical action of chewing helps keep teeth cleaner
